Fashion Week Favorites

My hometown of Madison, Wisconsin is known for a lot of things. Political activity, especially during the past couple of weeks. A thriving bike culture. Great microbrews.

Fashion is not one of the things we are  known for. Sure, we’re got some fantastic thrift stores, and major retailer shopbop.com has its headquarters in Madison. But unless you’re shopping for a pair of Keen sandals or a new Patagonia jacket, it can be hard to find the latest styles. So I look to the the internet for inspiration. While luckily celebrities, stylists, and bloggers crowded into the tents at Fashion Week in New York last week (yep, I’m talking about you, Sugarlaws), I was perusing the press and drooling with jealousy over the  runway looks. Out of all the trends in all of the different designers’ collections, here are a few of my favorites. (All photos are from mbfashionweek.com)

Susan, I’m thinking we need to find out how to get ourselves invited to some of these events — wouldn’t that be just divine?

Love that 70s Milly hat/skirt/boot combo.

Yes there has been quite a large spotlight on Madison lately for sure. The entire world is going crazy!

Love the hats. I was checking out Tory Burch and really can’t go there. Probably because I was there originally. Did you see the big plaid pantsuit?? OMG.

Anyway, thanks for moving the spotlight.
